It is very likely that you will feel overwhelmed at the idea of taking your wealth seriously.
And this is true for any individual, especially those falling at the lower end of the wealth spectrum.
As a matter of fact it is mostly difficult for people that have just few dollars in their bank account and have to start from scratch; they have to build their wealth up. However it might also be equally difficult for wealthy individual who have just inherited large sums and need to understand how serious the matter is. If not taken seriously, they will be broke soon.
One thing is unavoidable: you have to take action. Blaming yourself that have not enough resources and envying those who have money and more power is not leading you anywhere.
Choose yourself. Start somewhere. Start now.
The most common hurdle for a good start is lack of motivation. And your lack of motivation stems from the fact that you feel discouraged and find the entire process difficult to understand and execute. Well, wash out those beliefs, rewire your brain and start doing something that increases your wealth Now.
Do not wait, your time is ticking fast and your opportunities will not come back again. Go out of your comfort zone, seek help and more understanding and go make a tremendously positive change to your life. No matter what.
The issue with investing money starts in your mind. You have to want to do it and understand that you need to do it because the consequences of not looking after your finances are terrible, but more importantly the consequences of looking after your finances are terribly beautiful.
The progress bar to becoming wealthy can be laid down in this way.
Pretty much everything you do consistently starts with an idea (30%).
The idea migrate to the physical world by you taking action (50%).
Action after action will form a habit (70%).
And once you reach this point you should celebrate because forming a habit requires lots of energy from you and forming a habit out of breaking an old habit requires even more energy.
Does it sound familiar? Are you a smoker or do you know how many smokers are trying to break this habit and start a healthier life? Breaking habits is very difficult. Did anyone say impossible though? No, not at all. Breaking a habit is fun and it is doable especially if you replace it with a new habit, a better one. And what if the new habit is building wealth instead of destroying it?
Imagine that you have the habit of spending. Do replace it with the habit of saving and investing.
At this moment you might think “OK it is all done”. Well almost. You have to know that to be successful you will have to execute efficiently, and consistently, forever. Fall in love with the new habits of saving, investing, making money for fun (and while having fun), creating wealth etc.
The habit that you will have formed will be part of you, it will be part of your character (90%). And living your life by wearing your character all the time is essentially your destiny (99%).
What is the remaining 1%? Well that is never reachable. Once you hit your first target, go set another one that make sense to you and start anew, but this time you will be a different person. Your starting point will be different, a higher one, a more rewarding one, and you will be better positioned to reach the next higher point.
